Valentine's Day

So being the crafty person that I am, I thought it would be nice for Nicholas to help make his grandparents a Valentine's card. I had a really cute idea that included his handprint and footprint, but Nicholas did not like my idea. When we stuck his hand in red paint to make a handprint, he just curled it into a fist and starting swinging. (Our little prize fighter strikes again!) Fortunately red paint only splattered a little in the bathroom, so we washed his hand clean and moved on to the foot. We had the advantage here because Nicholas cannot do much more than kick his legs. After several paintings of his foot with red paint and several attempts of a recognizable footprint on the paper, we finally got what we wanted. Below you will find the final product.

Nicholas was definately loved on Valentine's Day. Both sets of grandparents sent Nicholas his very own Valentine's cards and he even received some Valentine's from some friends at daycare! Little did I know that three-month-olds exchanged Valentine's cards, so Nicholas was not prepared. (Mommy's fault.) We will have to do something special for our daycare friends for Easter.

Brad and I received a special Valentine from Nicholas. He made us a Valentine at daycare! I think they did a better job with the footprint than we did, oh well.
